Tulsi is our heroine. In India she has lived and worked with the earth, animals and people since the beginning of time. As a healer, Tulsi is the supreme herb of Ayurvedic and Indian folk medicine, healing illnesses from coughs, colds and headaches to malaria, diabetes, heart disease and radiation sickness. As an ecologist she purifies the air and soil. As a goddess she was married to the demon Jalandahar, and she lived with Krishna in Vrindavan. Today, in her incarnation as a plant, Tulsi is going forth from her native India inspiring people all over the world to restore the health of individuals, communities, and the planet by working in partnerships with the plants.
